In 1970, Pastor Wayman Mitchell went to the small town of Prescott, Arizona. From here, a spiritual fire was launched that is spanning the globe. Since that time, over two- thousand churches have been planted with crusades and conferences touching tens of thousands every year.
The Potter's House Christian Fellowship Ministries is a product of that vision and are working to see it expand in the short time that remains before Jesus returns. The Ogden Potter’s House Christian Center, as well as other local churches are apart of this vision. Bonding together for strength and unity to reach our cities, states and countries for Jesus. Yahweh has given us a vision for the day we live in. Our message is simple, yet it is the cornerstone of all truth. JESUS CHRIST is the ONLY hope for mans’ salvation. In a world full of empty dreams and false promises, there is a truth which grows stronger every day... JESUS CHRIST, THE SAVIOR OF THE WORLD.
Our Local Church in Ogden

The Potter's House (Ogden, Utah) exists as a local congregation to witness to the world of God's love, as revealed in His Son, Jesus Christ our crucified, risen, exalted, and soon-returning King. We seek to teach the Word of God and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit. Our goal is the shaping and equipping of our church family so that disciples will be nourished and empowered to fulfill their God-ordained purpose and ministry.
As of this year, 2019, the Ogden congregation has been growing for 34 years. The church in Alamogordo, NM sent the Quinlan family to Ogden to Pioneer the church. Thirty-four years later, God has built a thriving congregation with 17 baby churches and 3 of them are international churches! As you enter our church you will know that "Jesus is Alive!"
Our Vision
Evangelism:

The Gospel taken outside the four walls is the absolute foundation of our church, in obedience to the word of God (Mark 16:15). Jesus said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature." We emphasize personal evangelism and a large variety of outreaches to share the Gospel.
Discipleship:
–
God intends for calling to Him, and for Him, to be accomplished through being trained and equipped within the setting of a local church. Therefore, the highest calling of a Pastor and congregation is to obey God’s command in Matthew 28:19-20: Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit; teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.
Conversion:

We witness, testify and preach for a decision. The Gospel has the power to save and transform lives. 1 Peter 1:23: "having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever". The bulk of our congregation consists of people converted here by the Power of God.
Church planting:
–
The result of disciples being raised up is that they will be released into the harvest field. In Matthew 9:37-38, Jesus said to His disciples, "The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest." We send couples to plant brand new congregations, with the aim of reproducing our vision in a new area.
The Local Church:

God has placed everything necessary to accomplish His will in the setting of the local church. Ephesians 1:22-23 …the church, which is his body, is the fullness of him who fills everything in every way. God’s will is accomplished in us and through us as we connect and commit ourselves to a local church.
World Evangelism:

From the earliest Bible record, God’s vision is worldwide testimony and impact. The gospel message and the vision God has revealed to us is not simply American, but God-inspired; so therefore it works, and is relevant in every nation and culture of the world. The bible says in Mark 16:15 "all the world/every person" and in Matthew 28:19, "all the nations". Our job as believers, and as the local church is to pray, train, invest, send and support workers to go into all the world!

Our Mission
Our mission is simple: To bring the truth of Jesus Christ to the World.
To that end, we are completely focused on: Evangelism, Discipleship, and Church Planting.
Evangelism: Because the world is full of lost souls who need to hear the truth of Jesus Christ.
Discipleship: Because every believer needs to be trained for the ministry of the Gospel.
Church Planting: Because our greatest impact will be in the cities and nations outside our own, that we can reach for Jesus.
We take seriously Christ's commission to "go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature." (Mark 16:15) Therefore, our mission as a church and fellowship has always been to fulfill Christ's Great commission through discipleship, church planting, and world evangelism. It was Christ himself who commanded His followers to "make disciples of all the nations," (Matthew 28:19-20). The simple obedience to this command by our founding Pastor, Wayman Mitchell, has been imparted as our fellowship's vision.
With this focus, we are constantly endeavoring to reach unsaved and unchurched people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to spread the good news of God's love and saving grace throughout the world. Whether we use Christian bands, movies, dramas, street preaching, or one-on-one evangelism, our focus and mission is to help lead people into their own personal relationship with the Savior, Jesus Christ.
